Welcome!

Welcome to the website of the Evesham Township School District. Our district includes preschool through eighth grade. We are one of the largest elementary school districts in southern New Jersey, located approximately twenty miles east of Philadelphia. We have six elementary schools and two middle schools with a total enrollment of approximately 4,400 students. We invite you to browse through this website where you will find a great deal of wonderful information about our schools and district.

General Information

Our schools offer state of the art instructional programs and facilities. We provide a wide range of outstanding curricular and co-curricular opportunities designed to meet the needs of all students. We work closely with the community to enhance the educational experiences provided for the students. Each school has an active PTA or PTO, enthusiastic teaching staff and very dedicated support staff. We are very proud of our students and the wonderful staff who guide the children toward excellence in education.

A Message from the Superintendent

Welcome back to a new school year!  We were very busy over the summer, hosting different camps and activities for children in our community, working with our teachers on curriculum revision projects, updating technology resources, and securing/maintaining our school buildings.

September came quickly and the opening of the school year went well.  Each school held their Back-to-School Nights, which were all very well attended.  Your unwavering support is vital to our continued success.

The Board of Education approved district goals for 2019-2022 at the September board meeting.  The first goal is to refine mathematics instruction, in alignment with NJSLS content and practice standards, with a focus on discourse and problem solving strategies to enhance student achievement in the area of math.  This goal is in conjunction with our new math program, enVisions.  Implementation of the new program began this year in grades K, 1, 3, and 5.  Next year, grades 2, 4, 6, and 7 will follow, with grade 8 in the third year.

The second district goal is to enhance district protocols and procedures in order to decrease employee absenteeism rates wherever possible, thus positively impacting student achievement.  As you may recall, the past two years the district successfully focused on student chronic absenteeism, which decreased in each of the two years of the goal.  Each goal will have specific activities and benchmarks over the next three years.

In October, students are participating in special celebrations such as the Week of Respect and Red Ribbon Week.  These promote positive school climates, school spirit, and the importance of anti-bullying education and drug prevention.

Each school year certainly presents unique challenges, but is always full of exciting activities and events.  I encourage you to check our district and school websites for important updates and a list of events happening across the district.  As always, I look forward to watching our children learn and grow.

2019-2020 Budget Update

At the meeting on March 12, the Evesham Township Board of Education approved the tentative 2019-2020 school budget. This budget maintains all current instructional programs, sustains current class sizes, focuses on student achievement and enhances staff professional development.

Specific budget initiatives include an update to mathematics resources/materials, and the upgrade of technology hardware such as interactive whiteboards and security cameras. As a result of a significant reduction in state aid supporting our budget, there was a need for reduced spending on supplies, non-instructional equipment, and capital projects.

The Board held a public hearing and adopted the final 2019-2020 budget on May 2. The new school year begins on July 1, 2019.

Additional information regarding the budget is posted on this website.

Evesham Education Foundation

The Evesham Education Foundation is an independent, non-political, non-profit organization established in 1995 to support excellence in education. The 15 member board is made up of business leaders, concerned parents and educators. All contribute their time and experience overseeing fundraising events and making sure that 100% of the money raised is used exclusively to fund programs that have proven value. Over the years the Evesham Education Foundation has supported several school district initiatives including CAPPS (Coordinated Arts Program for Primary Students), Genesis Counseling Program, and Metamorphosis Program. In addition, the foundation has expanded their support to include funding for middle school athletic uniforms and two academic summer programs. The summer programs are a literacy support program for incoming second and third graders and a Tier III enrichment extension program for gifted and talented students. Tax deductible donations to the Evesham Education Foundation can be made by visiting their website: www.EveshamEducationFoundation.org or checks can be sent to Evesham Education Foundation, 25 South Maple Avenue, Marlton, NJ 08053.
