The ETSD recognizes the benefits of healthy students; therefore, we support school health and wellness policies and practices that address the physical, social, and emotional needs of our students. Our goal is to promote the health and well-being of the whole child. Recognizing that education cannot achieve this alone, the district supports a coordinated school health program (CSH) model consisting of the following eight interactive components: health education; physical education & physical activity; nutrition environment & services; health services; counseling, psychological & social services; physical environment; employee wellness, and family engagement. This approach or process facilitates a blending of resources and personnel in the school and local community.

School Wellness Week is celebrated annually in each of our schools during National Nutrition Month in March. This year's theme is "Beyond the Table" and the week of March 11th was selected for School Wellness Week. ETSD Wellness Night will be held on Wednesday, March 13th at DeMasi Schools from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Click here for more information. In addition, each school is required to complete an annual self-assessment that is presented to the public annually.
